چکیده
The increase of Ae. aegypti resistance to conventional insecticides and growing public concern about the environmental impact has resulted in development alternatives mosquito control. Thus, use essential oils (EOs) combination with larvicides may be a strategy used reduce phenomenon resistance. Controlling larvae for prolonged period is important interrupting transmission vector-borne viruses, as long lasting larvicidal formulations health agents visits consequent reduction global cost controlling spread. Previous studies have shown that synergistic interactions between temephos EOs exhibited increased lethality when compared alone. Therefore, goal this work was evaluate residual effects associations Citrus sinensis Syzygium aromaticum homogenized hydrogel impregnated ceramic supports on larvae. After application products 1,000 mL beakers, 25 were deposited each beaker every five days half beakers emptied 200 mL, original volume replaced new batches added. Mortality observed after 48 h larval exposure. There equivalence effect association temephos/EOs

Larvicidal activity of Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Merr and Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck essential oils and their antagonistic effects with temephos in resistant populations of Aedes aegypti
Environmentally friendly botanical larvicides are commonly considered as an alternative to synthetic larvicides against Aedes aegypti Linn. In addition, mosquito resistance to currently used larvicides has motivated research to find new compounds acting via different mechanisms of action, with the goal of controlling the spread of mosquitos. Essential oils have been widely studied for this purp...

We report the first comprehensive insecticide susceptibility status ofAedes aegypti (L.) larvae from Singapore. The study indicated that Ae. aegypti is susceptible to temephos, although resistance (RR50 = 1.29-4.43-fold) couldbe developing. Of high concern is the detection of moderate to high resistance to permethrin (RR50 = 29-47-fold) and etofenprox (RR50 = 14-34-fold). Biolarvicide Bacillus ...
متن کاملCitrus Seed Oils Efficacy against Larvae of Aedes aegypti
Background Dengue fever is a serious public health issue in Pakistan for many years. Globally plants have been reported to contain compounds with insecticidal properties. These properties have been demonstrated more recently on the larval stages of mosquitoes. Therefore, Citrus cultivar seeds were evaluated for larvicidal potential against the primary dengue vector Aedes aegypti. Methods Extr...

The search for new insecticides to control dengue fever, chikungunya, and Zika vectors has gained relevance in the past decades. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the larvicidal action of essential oils (EOs) from Thymus vulgaris, Salvia officinalis, Lippia origanoides, Eucalyptus globulus, Cymbopogon nardus, Cymbopogon martinii, Lippia alba, Pelargonium graveolens, Turnera diffusa, ...

The objective of this study was to evaluate the larvicidal activity of essential oil aqueous solutions (hydrolates) obtained by steam distillation of stalks and leaves of Croton argyrophylloides, Croton nepetaefolius, Croton sonderianus and Croton zehntneri against Aedes aegypti larvae. Twenty-five larvae of third instar were placed in plastic beckers, containing the hydrolates (50 mL), in a fo...
